Assistant to Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant to the Maintenance Manager to support our procurement, supplier coordination and customs clearance activities for the maintenance department in Phnom Penh. The role will work closely with the Maintenance Manager, transport agents and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in exploring new market sources for goods and services and reviewing specifications.
• Obtain supplier quotes, prepare quote analyses and support management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery and compliance with purchase requests and contracts.
• Update and manage supplier, price and contact databases on a regular basis.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages or returns.
• Coordinate shipment and customs clearance with transport agents and the Cambodia customs department to meet deadlines.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders or service contracts for departmental approval and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, shipment and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs and transport agents.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of procurement processes, technical specifications, and Cambodian tax and customs regulations.
• Strong teamwork ability in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and analytical skills; knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering is an asset.
