Assistant to Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Assistant to the Maintenance Manager will support procurement, shipment and customs activities for the maintenance department, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research for new sources of goods and services and review specifications, delivery conditions and payment terms.
• Obtain supplier quotes, prepare quote analysis, and issue purchase orders or contracts for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to track deliveries, resolve defects or damages, and update supplier databases.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs to manage shipment clearance and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation (quotes, PO, contracts) in line with retention schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3–5 years experience in procurement, shipment management and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs.
• Knowledge of procurement processes in the power, energy or infrastructure sector is an asset.
• Strong teamwork ability in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and analytical skills; familiarity with mechanical and electrical engineering concepts is a plus.
