Assistant Chief Engineer

About the role

The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in overseeing building maintenance, facility operations, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life‑safety systems at Anantara Angkor Resort. The role ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and optimal performance of all mechanical equipment and physical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage all preventative maintenance work, new projects, extensions, and renovations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements for fire, health and safety licensing and provide necessary safety equipment.
• Monitor energy usage and implement measures to achieve energy cost savings.
• Manage the department in the absence of the Chief Engineer.
• Prioritise and oversee maintenance requests, ensuring they are handled efficiently by technically proficient and guest‑friendly technicians.

Required profile

• Certified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiar with operations and priorities of all other hotel operating departments.
• Able to advise colleagues on Health & Safety rules and processes.
