AI Enablement Product Owner

About the role

ABA Bank is creating a dedicated AI Enablement Product Owner position within each product team. The role ensures that new and existing initiatives are systematically evaluated for AI opportunities and that valuable AI‑enabled capabilities are delivered securely and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

• Assess new initiatives and major enhancements for AI applicability using defined templates, SLAs, and risk tiering; maintain an AI enhancements backlog.
• Own the AI feature/service portfolio for the assigned product team, defining value cases, KPIs, and phased delivery plans.
• Produce concise AI briefs, PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria; define guardrails, fallback behavior, and human‑in‑the‑loop requirements.
• Coordinate AI‑related work across multiple delivery streams and squads, collaborating with engineering, UX, QA, operations, and control functions.
• Work closely with Data Science & AI and Big Data teams on feasibility, data readiness, evaluation approach, instrumentation, and KPI dashboards.
• Engage Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Security early for medium/high‑risk use cases to ensure privacy, security, auditability, and operational SOPs.
• Track relevant AI developments (including agentic commerce and workflows) and translate them into practical, responsible initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager delivering digital products, preferably in banking, payments, fintech, or large‑scale consumer platforms.
• Proven ability to own backlogs and coordinate delivery with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills for KPI definition, experiment design, and data‑driven prioritisation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication abilities.
