Actuarial Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Actuarial Analyst to join our actuarial team. This position is ideal for new graduates or early‑career professionals with a quantitative background who want to develop a career in insurance and financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Support actuarial valuation and financial reporting, including data preparation, model runs, result checking, reconciliations and reporting material preparation.
• Assist with product pricing and related analysis by preparing data, running pricing models, checking outputs and documenting results.
• Collect, validate and analyse actuarial and business data, investigate anomalies and escalate findings as needed.
• Maintain and update actuarial models, spreadsheets, databases and documentation under senior guidance.
• Contribute to experience studies, assumption reviews, forecasts, financial planning and ad‑hoc actuarial analyses.
• Prepare clear summaries, reports and presentations for actuarial colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, Product, Risk, IT and other functions to obtain inputs, resolve issues and deliver work on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of actuarial processes using Excel, VBA, AI tools or other relevant technologies while adhering to controls and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking and numerical aptitude with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Genuine interest in a long‑term actuarial career in the insurance industry and willingness to pursue professional actuarial qualifications with company support.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of VBA or other automation tools.
• Familiarity with AI or data‑automation tools is preferred.
