Accelerator Board Member – Philanthropy & Fundraising

About the role

PeopleStories is seeking an Accelerator Board Member to lead the development and execution of its Philanthropy & Fundraising strategy. This senior board position will help transition the organisation from ad‑hoc funding to a sustainable, consistent funding engine.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive Philanthropy & Fundraising strategy, including target segments, pipeline, stewardship cadence and a 12‑month action plan.
• Lead a small Fundraising & Partnerships Committee, driving momentum between Accelerator Board meetings.
• Coach and support the CEO/Founder in donor and partner conversations.
• Strengthen the funding narrative and case for support.
• Facilitate introductions and relationship building with major donors, foundations and strategic partners.
• Contribute to board governance with a risk‑aware, compliant mindset.

Required profile

• Proven experience in major gifts, philanthropy, foundations or partnership fundraising.
• Ability to create and execute a practical fundraising strategy and pipeline.
• Strong relationship skills and credibility with donors and partners.
• Comfort working with a growth‑stage, founder‑led organisation and maintaining clear boundaries.
