Teller

About the role

The Teller position is responsible for delivering a full range of banking services to customers while upholding FTB’s service standards. The role supports branch performance by executing daily cash operations accurately and providing courteous assistance to both internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the bank’s strategic plan by handling all technical cash tasks, including receiving and sending cash to the head office, other branches, and NBC.
• Process cash withdrawals, deposits, bill payments, check handling, credit repayments and other monetary transactions in line with FTB standards.
• Carry out domestic and overseas fund transfers for customers, ensuring compliance with banking procedures.
• Record all cash and payment transactions promptly and accurately in the banking system.
• Verify cash counts to prevent surpluses, shortages, or counterfeit notes and report any discrepancies immediately.
• Maintain proper cash flow documentation and close the daily cash register by reconciling physical cash with system records.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure high‑quality service.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to one year of experience as a Sales Officer or Teller.
• Good command of English; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
• Basic accounting knowledge and strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Customer‑service oriented with a sales‑focused mindset.
