Tax Manager

About the role

KPMG is seeking a high‑performing Tax Manager to lead daily tax operations for its Phnom Penh office. The role focuses on delivering an excellent client experience while supporting KPMG’s strategy to be the “Best Firm to Work With.” You will act as the primary contact for clients on tax matters and guide a team of tax professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the principal contact with clients on day‑to‑day tax matters.
• Provide tax advisory and planning services for a portfolio of clients.
• Discuss new tax ideas and solutions with clients.
• Collaborate with specialists to deliver expertise to the local market.
• Respond to client requests for other KPMG services.
• Plan and manage tax compliance work through to submission of tax computations.
• Review corporation tax computations and monitor compliance positions.
• Liaise with audit and other service teams to ensure coordinated client service.
• Advise clients on contentious tax issues and stay aware of international tax developments.
• Provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and coaching to less‑experienced staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or related field.
• Ideally ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in external or internal tax functions.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability.
• Ability to identify business opportunities and analyse core issues.
• Effective, honest communication style.
