Tax & Accounting (Chinese Speaking)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax & Accounting professional with Chinese language proficiency to manage tax compliance, reporting and digitalisation for a real‑estate development business in Cambodia. The role involves close interaction with tax authorities and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly e‑filings and annual Tax on Income declarations through the General Department of Taxation (GDT) system.
• Calculate, file and reconcile VAT, withholding tax, fringe benefit tax, stamp duty and other statutory taxes.
• Maintain the tax module in the Yonyou (U8/Cloud) system, ensuring automatic ledger‑to‑filing reconciliation.
• Drive digital archiving of contracts, vouchers and invoices to support tax audits.
• Liaise with the GDT and coordinate tax inspections, liquidations and daily queries.
• Collaborate with external audit firms (e.g., PwC) to complete annual financial audits and tax reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Taxation or related field; Cambodian Tax Agent certificate or Chinese CPA/CTA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of local tax accounting experience in Cambodia, preferably within the real‑estate development lifecycle.
• Professional proficiency in English or Khmer for reading official tax documents.
• Strong logical thinking, ability to work under pressure and experience with digital financial management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Yonyou (U8/Cloud) tax module configuration.
• Experience with GDT e‑filing system for VAT and income tax.
• In‑depth knowledge of the new Cambodian Tax Law and self‑assessment regime.
