Senior System Administration Officer

About the role

The Senior System Administration Officer will lead the operation and maintenance of the bank's data centre and disaster‑recovery site. This role ensures high availability of servers, storage, virtualization platforms and related infrastructure while supporting both on‑premise and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor production and recovery data‑centre facilities, including UPS, fire and cooling systems.
• Design, install and configure server hardware and operating systems (Solaris, Linux, Windows).
• Deploy and maintain virtual machines and OpenShift (OCP) environments.
• Administer email platforms (Office 365 and on‑premise Exchange).
• Implement and optimise storage solutions and SAN switches (FC zoning).
• Perform system risk assessments, fail‑over and switch‑over testing.
• Research technology trends and propose appropriate upgrades.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, MIS or a related field.
• Experience in 24/7 system banking environments and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data‑centre facilities and hardware diagnostics.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Server OS: Solaris, Linux, Windows Server.
• Virtualisation: OpenShift, VMware ESXi/vSphere, LDOM, Oracle VM.
• Storage: SAN, Fibre Channel zoning, storage provisioning.
• Microsoft stack: Active Directory, Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint, SCCM.
• Cloud services: Office 365, Azure AD.
• Infrastructure monitoring of UPS, cooling and fire protection systems.
