Senior Database Administration Officer

About the role

The Senior Database Administration Officer will manage and maintain critical Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL Server database environments for the head office. This role requires 24/7 availability, disaster recovery planning, and support for both production and testing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage 24/7 Oracle, PostgreSQL & MSSQL Server instances in production and testing environments.
• Install, upgrade, and patch database servers and Oracle WebLogic application server.
• Prepare and test disaster recovery solutions using Active Data Guard, replication, Always On Availability Groups, failover clusters, log shipping, and streaming.
• Create cold/hot backup scripts and maintain backup schedules.
• Monitor database security, apply fixes, and support application server issues.
• Provide on‑call support, troubleshoot crashes, and ensure proactive communication with management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 1‑3 years of enterprise database administration experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL and MSSQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2022/2025, UNIX (Solaris 11) and Linux (Red Hat 8/9/10).
• Experience with disaster recovery processes and capacity planning.
• Good English communication skills and high professionalism.
