Senior Accounting Officer

About the role

The Senior Accounting Officer will manage invoicing, collections, month‑end closing and audit support for a diversified Cambodian company operating in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, construction chemicals and agriculture.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily collection reports, provide weekly updates to the Accounting Supervisor and Manager, and verify sales orders for accuracy.
• Prepare unlock requests for orders exceeding credit limits, release blocked sales orders, and ensure correct invoice issuance with supporting documents.
• Post credit notes for returns, manage sample, consignment, donation and bonus requests.
• Execute interim and month‑end closing activities, including accruals, pre‑payments, adjustments, reconciliations and variance explanations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports such as VAT on samples, sales, debtor, unearned revenue, customer deposits, accrued expenses and suspense accounts.
• Assist external and tax audits by providing sales contracts, delivery notes and other relevant documents, and prepare audit confirmation letters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Professional certification (CAT, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
• Good English reading, writing and listening skills.
• Knowledge of taxation law and accounting principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Computer literacy with PDF, Internet and email tools.
