Sales Executive – Modern Trade

About the role

The Sales Executive – Modern Trade will manage and grow sales performance across supermarkets, mini‑marts, convenience stores and retail chains. You will develop strong customer relationships, ensure product availability, execute promotions and achieve both monthly and annual sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with modern trade customers, including key accounts and supermarket chains.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets by account and product category.
• Negotiate listings, pricing, promotions, discounts and in‑store display activities.
• Ensure product availability, monitor stock levels and coordinate on‑time replenishment.
• Work with merchandising to secure proper shelf placement and visibility.
• Track sell‑in, sell‑out, stock aging and competitor actions.
• Plan and execute in‑store promotions, campaigns and new product launches.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts and market feedback for internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in modern trade sales, FMCG, food distribution or retail.
• Experience dealing with supermarkets or retail chains is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to analyse sales data, stock movement and promotion performance.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits.

• Proficient in MS Word.
• Familiar with basic reporting tools.
