Packaging Design Specialist

About the role

The Packaging Design Specialist creates innovative packaging concepts that reflect brand identity while meeting production realities. This position blends creative design talent with deep technical knowledge of printing processes and material options to deliver visually compelling and functional packaging.

Key responsibilities

• Design packaging solutions aligned with brand strategy and product positioning.
• Collaborate with suppliers and printing houses to verify feasibility, quality, and timelines.
• Recommend suitable materials, finishes, and sustainable alternatives.
• Produce prototypes and mock‑ups to evaluate usability, durability, and shelf impact.
• Work cross‑functionally with marketing, product, and production teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Stay current on packaging trends, consumer insights, and printing innovations.
• Maintain accurate design files, specifications, and production documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on packaging design experience, preferably with a printing house background.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both creative vision and technical execution.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities across creative and production teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with 3D visualization tools.
• Deep understanding of offset, flexographic, digital, and specialty printing processes.
• Knowledge of packaging materials such as paperboard, corrugated, plastics, and eco‑materials.
