Operations Data Engineer

About the role

The Operations Data Engineer will support the procurement and logistics functions by analysing supplier data, managing purchase documentation, and coordinating shipment and customs processes. This role ensures smooth flow of goods and services for internal departments while maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research for new sources of goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions, and payment terms for appropriateness.
• Gather supplier quotes, perform quote analysis, and prepare documentation for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and service fulfillment.
• Update and maintain supplier, price, and contact databases.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages, and returns.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders, and service contracts for departmental approval.
• Collaborate with transport agents and customs to manage shipments and ensure timely clearance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment, and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs and transport agents.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the power, energy, or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian customs and tax regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and meet strict deadlines.

• Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts (asset).
