Operation Control Manager

About the role

AirAsia is looking for an Operation Control Manager in Phnom Penh. The role oversees flight dispatch and crew scheduling and on-time performance, working closely with Engineering, Schedule Planning and Revenue Management teams to meet aircraft utilisation, punctuality and regularity targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee flight dispatch and crew scheduling and the airline's on-time performance.
• Schedule aircraft and crew efficiently with Engineering, Schedule Planning and Revenue Management so that aircraft utilisation, punctuality and regularity targets are met.
• Maintain accurate crew records in line with the approved Flight Time Limitations scheme and regulatory requirements.
• Process Flight Time Discretion Reports, forward them to the regulator via the DFO when required, and monitor trends to prevent repeat problems.
• Ensure operations and crewing staff know the Operations and Emergency Response Manual.
• Manage operational support systems for flight planning, weather and NOTAM services, aircraft performance data, airway manuals and navigation databases, together with the Chief Pilots Operations.
• Manage the Operations Control Center budget against agreed targets, including cost per available seat kilometre, using objectives and KPIs.
• Ensure flight following protocols are followed.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in complex operations, network management centres or as a flight dispatcher in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor degree or postgraduate diploma in Airline Operations or Airport, or a Flight Dispatcher Licence or equivalent.
• Familiar with crew, schedule and engineering limitations and their impacts.
• Ideally a Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean process training.

Required skills

• Conversant with business continuity and emergency response procedures.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Google software.
• Familiarity with AIMs and Navtech systems is an added advantage.
