National Communication Consultant – Multimedia Specialist (7‑month contract)

About the role

UNICEF Cambodia is seeking a National Communication Consultant – Multimedia Specialist to support its 2027 strategic communication, advocacy and resource‑mobilisation priorities. The 7‑month consultancy will be office‑based in Phnom Penh with occasional travel, and will focus on creating high‑quality visual and multimedia content that amplifies children’s voices and showcases programme impact.

Key responsibilities

• Produce photography, videography, digital storytelling, social‑media assets, publications, campaign materials and branded visibility items.
• Manage website content updates, ensuring appropriate captions, metadata and compliance with UNICEF standards.
• Collaborate with the Communication Team and programme sections to align multimedia outputs with advocacy and fundraising objectives.
• Maintain multimedia asset libraries and digital archives, supporting efficient content retrieval and reuse.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, multimedia design, visual arts or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in multimedia production, graphic design, photography or videography, with a portfolio of relevant work.
• Fluency in Khmer and English, both written and spoken.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong photography and videography skills, including operation of DSLR and professional camera equipment.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) on Mac and PC platforms.
• Experience in visual storytelling, digital‑media production and social‑media content creation.
• Knowledge of content‑management systems and multimedia asset management.
