Multimedia Project Assistant

About the role

The Multimedia Project Assistant will support IOM Cambodia’s multimedia production under the supervision of senior communications staff. The role involves field coverage, creating photography, video and design content, and maintaining the mission’s multimedia archive.

Key responsibilities

• Produce photography and video documenting programme activities for social media, donor reporting, website and events.
• Travel to project sites across Cambodia to capture footage, conduct interviews and gather human‑interest material while respecting data‑protection and consent requirements.
• Assemble donor visibility products, ensuring correct use of logos, acknowledgements and disclaimers.
• Maintain the multimedia archive, verifying completeness, accuracy and integrity of stored content.
• Upload and update multimedia content on IOM Cambodia’s social media platforms and website, coordinating clearance with the Regional Office as needed.
• Provide multimedia and logistical support for missions, campaigns, field missions and media visits, including on‑site coverage and post‑event packages.
• Design and produce visibility materials such as infographics, banners, fact sheets, brochures and presentations in line with IOM brand guidelines.
• Coordinate with programme teams, communications staff, the Regional Office and external suppliers.

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Multimedia Production, Journalism, Graphic Design or related field with at least one year relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in photography, videography and video editing, supported by a portfolio of published work.
• Experience producing visibility and communications materials for donors or international organisations is an advantage.
• Experience covering field activities, including travel to provincial project sites.
• Previous work with NGOs, UN agencies or international organisations is an advantage.
• Ability and willingness to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud – especially Premiere Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop.
• High computer literacy in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of web page design (advantage).
