Hotel Sales Manager

About the role

The Hotel Sales Manager will lead the sales function for the hotel, focusing on both leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) segments. The role aims to maximise revenue by growing existing accounts, securing new business, and achieving sales targets while representing the hotel professionally in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Guide, support and train junior sales staff to meet collective targets.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase room and MICE event revenue.
• Achieve individual sales targets through proactive selling and client engagement.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across market segments, especially leisure travel and MICE.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and corporate clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and changing customer needs to uncover sales opportunities.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel environment.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and team‑development abilities.
• Adaptability, positive attitude and solid problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, networking and organisational capabilities, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
