Full-Stack Applied AI Engineer (Social Commerce & LLM Agents)

About the role

TobSar is seeking a product‑driven Full‑Stack Applied AI Engineer to join its founding technical team in Phnom Penh. You will take features from architectural design through to deployment, building conversational‑agent engines, webhook integrations, and merchant portals for social‑commerce businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, and optimise stateful multi‑turn conversational agents, prompt chains and tool‑use pipelines for order intake, pricing queries and product recommendations.
• Address Khmer NLP edge cases such as mixed‑language chat, colloquial slang, typos and informal speech to maintain high intent‑detection accuracy.
• Develop and maintain scalable backend APIs (FastAPI, Django, Node.js) and responsive merchant dashboards (React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS) for live supervision, human takeover and order tracking.
• Integrate high‑throughput webhooks with social messaging platforms (Facebook Graph API/Messenger, Telegram Bot API, TikTok) and order databases.
• Implement caching layers, prompt caching, token‑budget controls and fallback routines to achieve sub‑second response times economically.
• Establish automated evaluation benchmarks, hallucination guards and deterministic verification for sensitive transactions such as stock validation and payment confirmation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building end‑to‑end web applications with modern frameworks (Python FastAPI/Django, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS).
• Practical experience working with large language model APIs, function calling and structured generation pipelines.
• Familiarity with real‑time messaging APIs and webhook architectures for social platforms.
• Ability to optimise latency, cost and reliability in production AI systems.
