Chief Accountant

About the role

Mega Asset Management is seeking a Chief Accountant to oversee all accounting functions across its diverse real‑estate portfolio. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all disbursements and claims are fully documented and certified for correct quantity, quality, and price.
• Review daily General Cashier reports and ensure cash receipts are deposited promptly.
• Manage inter‑company accounts and maintain all general ledger accounts.
• Ensure sub‑ledger balances reconcile with the general ledger.
• Check and verify monthly journals prepared by various sections.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries and related schedules.
• Review bank reconciliation statements for all banks.
• Assist the Finance Controller in preparing monthly financial reports, analyses, and special statistical reports.
• Maintain proper filing of all journals and financial reports.
• Support implementation and streamlining of internal control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA or CPA preferred.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real‑estate or asset‑management environments.
• Strong expertise in financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management decisions.
• Solid knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and internal control frameworks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
