Chemical Engineer – AI Model Evaluation Specialist

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated responses for technical accuracy, logical soundness, completeness, and clarity across chemical engineering topics.
• Challenge language models with realistic scenarios, calculations, and process‑informed reasoning tasks.
• Review and refine prompts, model explanations, and step‑by‑step engineering solutions.
• Provide structured feedback identifying factual errors, unsafe recommendations, unit inconsistencies, or incomplete reasoning.
• Assess model performance on material & energy balances, thermodynamics, unit operations, separations design, process control, safety, and scale‑up considerations.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional chemical engineering experience in process design, operations, safety, scale‑up, or related specialties.
• Deep knowledge of material & energy balances, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat & mass transfer, reaction engineering, separations, and process control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (advanced degrees or professional certifications strongly preferred).
• Comfort with engineering calculations, assumptions, constraints, and defensible reasoning.

Required skills

• Experience with process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or CHEMCAD.
• Familiarity with PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOP/LOPA studies, and SOP documentation.
• Ability to evaluate technical content for safety, feasibility, and engineering best practices.
