Business Development and Training Manager

About the role

The Business Development and Training Manager will expand SLA’s presence in Phnom Penh by building strategic partnerships, acquiring corporate clients, and developing tailored training programs. This on‑site position requires a blend of business development acumen and training management expertise to deliver high‑quality learning solutions aligned with market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market analysis, identify new business opportunities, and prepare compelling proposals.
• Nurture relationships with corporate and institutional clients, promoting SLA’s training solutions.
• Design, coordinate, and oversee training programs, managing trainers, resources, and schedules.
• Monitor learner feedback and drive continuous improvement of curriculum and services.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to align business development activities with regional growth strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably in education, training, or professional services.
• Background in training management, learning and development, or instructional coordination.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, client relationship, and negotiation skills.
• Competence in market research, needs analysis, and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
• Solid organizational and project management capabilities.
• Comfort working on‑site in a fast‑paced Phnom Penh environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, HR, or related field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
• Fluency in English; Khmer or other regional languages beneficial.
