Brokerage Assist Specialist

About the role

The Brokerage Assist Specialist supports UPS customer accounts by ensuring a smooth onboarding experience, validating brokerage setups, and monitoring early shipments. The role works closely with account executives and internal brokerage teams to mitigate customs risks and maintain strong long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Review and confirm enrolment requests, validate customer documentation, and create or update customer profiles.
• Conduct welcome calls, guide customers through the first three shipments, and monitor them for potential holds or customs issues.
• Identify documentation gaps, communicate customs‑related costs, and log actions taken in the Onboard Assist Program or Brokerage Navigator.
• Track shipment performance over a 12‑week period, report onboarding outcomes, and present closing summaries including On‑Time Release metrics.
• Coordinate with account executives, origin and destination teams to ensure seamless handover and support special cases such as Free Trade Agreement compliance.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of cross‑border customs brokerage compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English and effective communication with customers and internal teams.
• Team‑player attitude with experience in remote collaboration and managing multiple priorities.
