Assistant to Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant to the Maintenance Manager to support procurement, supplier coordination and customs clearance activities for our operations in Phnom Penh. The role combines market research, purchase order processing and liaison with transport and customs agents.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in exploring new market sources for goods and services and reviewing specifications, delivery conditions and payment terms.
• Obtain supplier quotations, prepare quote analyses and support management approval of purchases.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues such as defects, damages or returns.
• Update supplier and price databases, keeping contact details and product information current.
• Issue purchase orders, contracts and quotations, and ensure proper documentation and retention.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs to manage shipment and clearance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment handling and customs clearance, preferably with the Cambodian customs authority.
• Familiarity with procurement practices in the power, energy or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Strong teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
