Assistant to Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Assistant to the Maintenance Manager will support procurement and logistics activities for the maintenance department, ensuring timely sourcing, delivery, and documentation of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Explore new market sources for goods and services and assist in reviewing specifications, delivery conditions, and payment terms.
• Obtain supplier quotes based on approved purchase requests, prepare quote analyses, and secure management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to guarantee on‑time delivery and service execution in line with purchase orders and contracts.
• Update and manage supplier, price, and contact databases, providing regular updates.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages, and returns.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders, and contracts for departmental approval and ensure proper record retention.
• Collaborate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, shipment handling, and customs clearance with Cambodian customs and transport agents.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the power, energy, or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian customs and tax regulations.
• Excellent teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Effective negotiation and analytical skills.
• English proficiency, both spoken and written.
