Assistant Chief Engineer

About the role

The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in overseeing building maintenance, facility operations, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life‑safety systems at Anantara Angkor Resort. The role ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and optimal performance of all mechanical equipment and physical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and manage preventative maintenance, new projects, extensions and renovations.
• Ensure compliance with fire, health and safety licensing requirements and provide necessary safety equipment.
• Monitor energy usage across the hotel and implement cost‑saving measures.
• Manage the engineering department in the Chief Engineer’s absence.
• Prioritise and coordinate maintenance requests with technically proficient, guest‑friendly technicians.
• Advise colleagues on health and safety rules and processes.

Required profile

• Certified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiar with the operations and priorities of all hotel departments.
• Ability to lead and support a technical team in a hospitality environment.
