Application Development Officer

About the role

The Application Development Officer will design, develop, test and maintain web applications for the bank’s head office and branches. The role ensures applications meet business requirements, perform efficiently, and comply with security policies while providing training and support to end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into system designs.
• Develop, test and deploy web applications following the SDLC and project timelines.
• Maintain application performance, documentation and security standards.
• Provide training and support to users across the head office and branch locations.
• Handle confidential data in line with information security policies.
• Stay updated on industry trends in web technologies.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• BSc degree in IT or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure independently and within a team.
• Willingness to learn new software systems.
• Good command of spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Java Spring Boot development.
• Vue.js front‑end development.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices.
• Knowledge of RDBMS such as MySQL and SQL Server.
• Version control with GitLab and REST API integration.
