About the role
The AML/CFT Officer ensures robust and consistent application of the AML/CFT sanction screening process in line with company policies. This role involves reviewing name matches against sanctioned entities, countries, adverse media, and politically exposed persons.
Key responsibilities
- Apply the process for handling sanction alerts from wire payments and end‑of‑day customer screening.
- Review sanction hits, conduct research, document results, and create manual alerts in the Coral System for true alerts.
- Escalate critical cases, apply mitigation measures, and inform management as needed.
- Provide feedback on alert rule effectiveness and collaborate to design new rules.
- Update internal lists and ensure correct data before uploading to AML/CFT systems.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance & Banking, Law, or related fields.
- At least one year of professional experience in banking/finance, preferably in compliance, risk, or audit.
- Basic understanding of AML and CFT concepts.
- Good command of Khmer and English.
- Effective teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.
