Accounts Payable (AP) & Tax Accountant

About the role

The Accounts Payable (AP) & Tax Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, managing the full AP cycle, ensuring compliance with Cambodian tax regulations, and supporting month‑end and year‑end financial closing. The role guarantees that all financial transactions are recorded correctly, supplier obligations are met on time, and tax filings are submitted within statutory deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders, goods receipt notes and contracts.
• Ensure invoices are approved before posting in SAP and prepare payment requests.
• Reconcile supplier statements and monitor supplier aging reports.
• Process supplier credit and debit notes and maintain complete AP documentation.
• Record accruals, pre‑payments and maintain schedules for balance‑sheet accounts.
• Perform general ledger maintenance and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare weekly and monthly outgoing payment forecasts and cash requirement reports.
• Coordinate payment priorities with the Accounting & Finance Manager.
• Prepare and submit Cambodian taxes including VAT, withholding tax, profit tax pre‑payment and tax on salary.
• Maintain tax filing documents and liaise with tax authorities.
