Accountant – Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and responsible Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements and company policies. The role supports management decision‑making by providing reliable financial information and ensures audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, payments, e‑billing and payroll.
• Support treasury activities such as cash‑flow planning, fund requests and payment scheduling.
• Oversee inventory, LIP valuation, costing and month‑end closing activities.
• Coordinate tax filings, statutory submissions and related compliance matters.
• Perform accounts payable, bank and intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare timely monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies and proper documentation.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and authorities on audit, tax and compliance issues.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and knowledge sharing.
• Carry out other finance and accounting duties as required to support business continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a comparable finance role.
• CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial practices and reporting procedures.
• Good understanding of financial regulations, statutory requirements and compliance standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliations and reporting.
