Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will support the sourcing, purchasing and customs clearance processes for goods and services required by the company. Working closely with internal departments and external suppliers, the role ensures timely delivery, compliance with specifications and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research to identify new sources of goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions and payment terms for appropriateness.
• Obtain supplier quotations, perform quote analysis and prepare documents for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to monitor order status and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Update and maintain supplier, price and contact databases.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipments and customs clearance.
• Handle issues such as defective goods, damages or returns.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts and related documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment handling and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs.
• Familiarity with procurement practices in the power, energy or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Cambodian customs regulations and tax provisions.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and meet strict deadlines.
