Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will support the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services for the company, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with specifications, and cost‑effective purchasing. This role works closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customs agents to maintain smooth procurement operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in market research to identify new sources of goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions, and payment terms for appropriateness.
• Obtain supplier quotes, conduct quote analysis, and prepare documentation for management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery and service fulfillment.
• Update and manage supplier and price databases, including contact details and product information.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages, and returns.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders, and service contracts for departmental approval.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs to manage shipment and clearance activities.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with retention schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, shipment, and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodian customs and transport agents.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the power, energy, or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of Cambodian customs, tax provisions, and procurement regulations.
• Strong teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering concepts is a plus.
