Lead Civil Engineer

About the role

Lead Civil Engineer will oversee civil engineering activities for WFP projects in Cambodia, ensuring design, construction, and maintenance meet quality and safety standards. The role supports the Country Strategic Plan and contributes to humanitarian objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering works for WFP programmes.
• Supervise contractors, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, UN partners, and donors.
• Prepare technical reports, budgets, and documentation for project approvals.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity building to WFP staff and local partners.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in managing civil engineering projects, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
