IT Officer

About the role

The IT Officer supports daily store IT operations by ensuring hardware performance, network stability, and smooth installation of new systems. The role handles first‑level troubleshooting, equipment setup, maintenance, and works with other teams to resolve technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily hardware issues such as POS terminals, receipt printers and barcode scanners.
• Resolve network connectivity problems, perform router resets and Wi‑Fi checks.
• Install and test new hardware for new stores or expansions, completing deployment checklists.
• Perform routine site checks, apply firmware updates on routers and network devices.
• Replace faulty hardware within agreed timelines.
• Maintain updated logs of interventions, hardware inventory and warranty status.
• Collaborate with Application Support on hardware/software crossover issues and support escalations with clear diagnostic notes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience with hardware and software maintenance.
• Knowledge of hardware and software installation.
• Self‑motivation, initiative and flexibility to learn new projects.
• Social marketing maintenance is preferred.
