Small Business Loan Officer

About the role

The Small Business Loan Officer will evaluate and process micro‑business loan applications across Phnom Penh and provincial branches. The role focuses on delivering quality lending, meeting disbursement targets, and supporting the growth of small enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Solicit existing and new clients in line with micro‑business loan policies to secure loan opportunities.
• On‑board approved micro‑business loans and ensure timely disbursement.
• Explain loan products, terms, and cross‑selling options to clients.
• Collect and verify all required documentation for loan eligibility.
• Conduct credit investigations, financial analysis, and property evaluations to assess repayment capacity.
• Perform site visits during assessment and regular follow‑up visits to monitor collateral and borrower performance.
• Follow up delinquent accounts and refer cases to supervisors.
• Register title deeds with local authorities to secure legal ownership evidence.
• Stay updated on new loan products and financial services.

Required profile

• High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, accounting or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in banking or financial services with a proven loan‑granting track record.
• Basic knowledge of branch operations, regulations, credit risk management and loan procedures.
• Fluent in Khmer and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong sales, customer service, mathematical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to accuracy and efficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to operate the bank’s loan processing software.
