Senior Accounting Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Supervisor to ensure smooth financial and accounting operations within our Finance department. The role involves overseeing junior staff, reviewing financial statements for accuracy, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.

Key responsibilities

• Assist staff in preparing monthly and quarterly accounting reports.
• Identify potential cash‑flow problems and financial irregularities.
• Liaise with the Finance Manager to keep each department within budget.
• Accurately prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments.
• Supervise and guide account clerks and junior accounting staff.
• Check income and payment reports daily.
• Review documents and other account reports weekly.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare closed reports monthly and yearly, including General Journal, General Ledger, Trial Balance, Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, and Annual Cash‑flow.
• Assist external auditors for the annual financial report to ACAR.
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience as an accounting supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong management, leadership and communication skills.
• Honesty, friendly demeanor and good personality.
• Ability to work under pressure, flexibility and commitment.
• Professional grooming and hygiene.
