Procurement Officer (Local Hire)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Procurement Officer to support our product sourcing and purchasing activities. The role focuses on identifying suitable suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Source and select products based on customer needs and business requirements.
• Identify new suppliers and negotiate price, quality, and terms.
• Request and compare supplier quotations.
• Coordinate product ordering, purchasing, and delivery.
• Monitor product availability, stock levels, and lead times.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier and product information.
• Analyze product costs to support margin and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth product supply.
• Support new product sourcing and development projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, buying or merchandising.
• Strong commercial awareness with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
