Mortgage Loan Officer

About the role

The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for processing and analysing mortgage loan applications for individual and corporate clients, ensuring credit quality and compliance with bank policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a mortgage client portfolio in line with established policies.
• Collect required documents and verify client eligibility for loans.
• Gather and compile financial records, credit histories and corporate statements.
• Conduct credit investigations, property evaluations and repayment‑capacity analysis.
• Perform site visits to assess loan purpose and collateral security.
• Prepare loan contracts and ensure timely, accurate disbursement.
• Explain loan products, interest rates and application processes to clients.
• Conduct regular follow‑up visits to monitor loan performance and identify cross‑selling opportunities.
• Follow up delinquent accounts and refer cases to supervisors.
• Register title deeds with local authorities.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in mortgage, lending, banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of bank operations, loan policies, credit risk management and property evaluation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to analyse financial documents and assess credit risk.
• Ability to deliver effective presentations.
• Fluency in Khmer and English.
• High dedication to accuracy and efficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use the bank’s proprietary software.
