Medium Business Loan Officer

About the role

The Medium Business Loan Officer is responsible for acquiring, onboarding and managing medium‑size business loan clients. The role involves evaluating loan applications, conducting credit investigations and ensuring the quality of the loan portfolio for the branch.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a portfolio of medium business clients in line with loan policies.
• Collect and verify all required documents for loan applications.
• Gather financial records, credit histories and business statements to assess eligibility.
• Perform credit investigations, property evaluations and repayment capacity analysis.
• Conduct site visits to verify loan purpose and collateral security.
• Prepare detailed Credit Appraisal Reports for senior approval.
• Explain loan products and cross‑sell additional banking services.
• Monitor loan performance, ensure timely repayments and manage delinquent accounts.
• Coordinate with head office on post‑disbursement conditions and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, accounting or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in banking or financial services.
• Good knowledge of branch operations, loan granting procedures and credit risk management.
