Inventory Accounting Officer

About the role

The Inventory Accounting Officer is responsible for ensuring that all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system, supported by proper documentation. This role works closely with warehouse, production, and sales teams to maintain reliable inventory data and support month‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Update finished‑goods stock records in the ERP system and verify consistency with physical counts.
• Monitor and control stock movements – receipts, issues, returns, and transfers – across warehouses and production.
• Reconcile physical stock balances of finished goods with system reports before issuing to production.
• Track consignment stock with approved customers and provide regular updates.
• Perform daily and monthly stock reconciliations against sales reports, internal usage, and donations.
• Lead physical inventory counts, reconcile results in ERP, and coordinate with relevant functions to ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with production planning to flag safety‑stock levels.
• Prepare accurate month‑end inventory reports on time.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, preferably with inventory focus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines for AP payments and month‑end closing.
• Proactive, accountable, and result‑oriented with a willingness to learn new systems.
• Good command of English (written and spoken) and solid computer literacy.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting systems; SAP experience is a plus.
