General Accounting Management Officer

About the role

The General Accounting Management Officer is responsible for maintaining accrual, prepayment and unearned accounts, ensuring accurate posting during the finance closing period, and supporting requesters on payment transaction classification. The role also oversees document control within the warehouse, guaranteeing proper filing and yearly document destruction.

Key responsibilities

• Control and maintain accrual, prepayment, and unearned accounts on the Balance Sheet.
• Post monthly accruals, amortizations and clear balances in SAP during the closing period.
• Assist requesters in determining the correct accounting treatment for payments and revenues.
• Calculate, post and adjust accruals, and reconcile actuals against accruals.
• Prepare amortization, accrual and actual reports for management.
• Support the warehouse team in recording document movements, maintaining a clean and safe storage environment, and performing quarterly spot checks.
• Coordinate the annual document destruction process according to guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience handling accrual, prepayment and unearned accounts.
• Familiarity with SAP for posting and adjustments.
• Ability to collaborate with requesters and provide guidance on accounting classifications.
• Attention to detail for document control and compliance with filing procedures.
