Deputy General Manager, Strategy & Planning

About the role

The Deputy General Manager of Strategy and Planning will lead the development and execution of market‑driven strategies for new and existing banking products. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures that strategic initiatives are aligned with corporate goals and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare personal and team action plans to ensure efficient workflow.
• Conduct end‑to‑end market and data‑driven analyses for product development, including loans, deposits, micro‑insurance, mobile banking, and non‑financial services.
• Develop competitive analyses, market sizing, and customer segmentation to inform the product pipeline.
• Create business cases with cost‑benefit analysis, financial models, and lifecycle assessments for both existing and new products.
• Obtain stakeholder approvals for strategy and business plans and submit regular performance reports to senior management.
• Build capacity of the team through training and performance review systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate strategy development, customer‑centric research, product development, or business planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Strategy, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken English proficiency.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
