Associate Director, Actuarial Pricing & Inforce Management

About the role

The Associate Director, Actuarial Pricing & Inforce Management is a senior actuarial leader responsible for driving pricing excellence across new product initiatives, repricing exercises, and in‑force portfolio management. The role partners with senior stakeholders to ensure pricing decisions are profitable, compliant, and aligned with the company’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Lead actuarial pricing for new product development, repricing, product enhancements and in‑force initiatives, delivering end‑to‑end pricing deliverables such as assumptions setting, financial modelling, experience analysis, sensitivity testing and documentation.
• Champion actuarial pricing governance, ensuring strict adherence to corporate pricing standards, internal controls and actuarial integrity.
• Represent actuarial pricing in cross‑functional projects, collaborating with Product, Finance, Distribution, Underwriting, Risk and Operations to achieve commercially sound outcomes.
• Shape the new‑business pricing strategy, monitor post‑launch performance and recommend corrective actions to meet profitability targets.
• Oversee in‑force portfolio management, identifying performance drivers, addressing emerging risks and improving persistency and portfolio value.
• Provide senior‑level review of pricing work, flagging risks and opportunities, and support the Chief Actuary on strategic and ad‑hoc initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior actuarial experience in pricing, product development and in‑force portfolio management.
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with a track record of developing actuarial talent.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate pricing impacts to senior management and cross‑functional partners.
• Ability to balance commercial objectives with long‑term sustainability and risk considerations.
