Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist for MCH & GHS

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will support a health‑system strengthening project that aims to improve maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) and global health security (GHS) services in three Cambodian provinces. Working from the National Office in Phnom Penh, the specialist will ensure data‑driven decision‑making throughout the nine‑month implementation period.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate project activities against MNCH and GHS standards.
• Collect, verify and analyse health data related to antenatal care, post‑natal care, institutional deliveries, child nutrition, immunisation and disease surveillance.
• Produce regular M&E reports for the National Maternal and Child Health Center (NMCHC) and the Communicable Disease Control (CDC) department of the Ministry of Health.
• Support technical alignment and collaborative implementation with MoH partners.
• Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions to improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation of health programmes, preferably in MNCH or GHS contexts.
• Familiarity with Cambodian health systems and crisis‑affected settings.
• Ability to work with government partners and international NGOs.
