Trade Finance Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Trade Finance Specialist to process and manage trade transactions, including import and export letters of credit, guarantees, and documentary collections. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage trade transactions, including import and export letters of credit, guarantees, and documentary collections.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as sales and credit administration to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Monitor and track progress of trade transactions, ensuring adherence to timelines and customer requirements.
• Conduct due diligence checks to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and AML guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of all trade transactions and related documentation.
• Liaise with banks and external stakeholders to facilitate trade operations and resolve issues.
• Stay updated with the latest trade regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of trade operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Banking and Finance, Business Management or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the banking sector, including at least 2 years in trade operations.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance products such as letters of credit, guarantees, and documentary collections.
• Proven track record in managing trade finance risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in trade finance systems and software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications.
