Operations Data Engineer

About the role

The Operations Data Engineer will support the procurement and logistics function by analysing market sources, managing supplier interactions and ensuring smooth customs clearance for imported goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in exploring markets for new sources of goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions and payment terms to ensure suitability.
• Obtain supplier quotes, prepare quote analysis and support management approval.
• Maintain contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and service compliance with purchase requests and contracts.
• Update and maintain supplier and price databases regularly.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages or returns.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders or service contracts for departmental approval.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs to manage shipment and customs clearance on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3‑5 years experience in procurement, shipment and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs and transport agents.
• Knowledge of procurement processes in the power, energy or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
• Up‑to‑date understanding of Cambodian customs and tax regulations.
• Strong teamwork ability in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
