Mortgage Loan Officer

About the role

The Mortgage Loan Officer will manage mortgage loan applications for both individual and corporate clients at the Preah Sihanouk branch. The role involves credit investigations, scoring, underwriting, and ensuring high loan quality while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow the mortgage client portfolio in line with bank policies.
• Collect and verify all required documents for loan eligibility.
• Gather and analyse applicants' financial records, credit histories, and corporate statements.
• Conduct credit investigations, property evaluations, and repayment capacity assessments.
• Perform site visits to verify loan purpose and collateral security.
• Prepare loan contracts, arrange timely disbursements, and explain loan options to clients.
• Educate clients on mortgage products, interest rates, and application processes.
• Conduct regular follow‑up visits to existing borrowers to monitor loan performance.
• Identify delinquent accounts and refer them to supervisors for portfolio management.
• Register title deeds with local authorities to secure legal ownership evidence.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in mortgage lending, banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of bank operations, loan policies, credit risk management and property evaluation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to analyse financial documents and assess credit risk.
• Fluent in Khmer and English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and the bank’s internal software.
